Responsibilities include:

Responsible for day to day operations of
site. Scope includes: Quality, Safety, Operations and
Administration.

Responsible for starting and closing shift.
·
Responsible for managing local customer relationship
regarding day to day issues and long term projects.
·
Responsible for correspondence with corporate
office contacts with include Human Resources, Safety and Accounting.
·
Responsible for recruiting and training in a
high turnover industry.
·
Responsible for utilizing proper techniques to
communicate by. Ex: email, password
·
Responsible for promoting Action safety policy
on the dock, weekly safety audit and observations.
·
Responsible for overseeing dock area and
ensuring that operations personnel are on the dock area.
·
May enter data in company billing and payroll
database and or manage personnel to do so.
·
Responsible for accuracy of payroll and invoice
data as well as reconciliation of volume / units handled.
·
Responsible for overseeing operations management
staff.
·
Responsible for shift meetings and making him or
herself available to labor force.
·
Must discuss issues with associates on a daily basis
for continual improvement and to make sure they are being heard.
·
Must have knowledge of Action quality management
system and its management techniques.
·
Responsible for ensuring that dock personnel
have all the resources needed to perform job duties.
·
Responsible for training other associates.
·
Responsible for scheduling.
·
Responsible for disciplinary action.
·
Other duties assigned by upper management.
This position reports to the Director of Operations
Background /
Experience
·
Must have 2 years experience as Operations Manager
OR 2 years distribution.
·
Bachelors Degree or equivalent preferred. |
