Job Description:


Action Logistics, Inc. is based in Grand Prairie, Texas and currently employs over 700 associates that are skilled in all areas of logistical services. After the company started Action began working for Exel Logistics in Terrell, Texas and DeKalb, IL. After working in the industry for over 7 years, Action has expanded to other areas of Texas, Missouri, Mississippi, Tennessee, Oregon, Illinois, Florida, Ohio, Georgia, Oklahoma, Alabama, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York.  Action has provided logistics services and support to a number of companies throughout the United States. Action has handled a vast array of materials that include groceries, computer components and tires.  Currently the company operates in 26 locations.
This position is located in the Action Logistics Shelby, Ohio distribution center.
Position Summary:

The Operations Supervisor reports to the Site Manager

•Holding and documenting daily shift meetings
•Following up on discussion items brought up during shift meetings
•Resolving day to day issues with the support of the Site Manager
•Enforcing Action Logistics safety policy on the dock
•Ensuring dock area remains organized and associates are adhering to Action Logistics processes and procedures
•Responsibility for ensuring that dock personnel have all the resources needed to perform job duties
•Coordinating and distributing daily work assignments
•Holding associates accountable and taking disciplinary action when necessary
•Work nights and weekends as needed
